Level 1 Award - Legal Duty to Inspect Playgrounds and Activity Facilities

The Transcend Playground Suite has been designed to provide

field of maintenance and inspection of playgrounds and additional facilities.

BS EN 1176 Playground Equipment, Skateparks BS EN 14974, Parkour BS EN 16899, Fitness BS EN 16630, Free Access Multi Sports BS EN 15312, H & S Law The course is carried out over 2 session of 3 day’s going through the above standards. There are worksheets on each section to be completed during the course and you are asked to complete a project at the end to be submitted within 3 months. On completion of the course and project you will receive a certificate from the certifying body, Transcend. will only have to attend the second half of the certificated to gain the Diploma.

The cost is £2100 + Vat which includes registration with Edexcel, tea, coffee and lunch on all three days.

Recognition of prior learning for learners who have completed the, will be accepted for the Transcend Level 5 Certificate in the Design, Installation, Inspection & Maintenance Specific Activity Facilities. On completion of the Transcend Level 5 Certificate in the Design, Installation, Inspection & Maintenance of Specific Activity Facilities the Diploma in the Inspection, Installation, Design & Maintenance of Play Area and Specific Activity Facilities can be applied for from Transcend. Recognition of Prior Learning: Candidates having completed the original Level 3 BTEC Existing Level 3 BTEC Advanced Award in Playground Operation and Inspection qualified personnel can fast-track to the Diploma by completing the Transcend Level 5 Certificate in the Design, Installation, Inspection & Maintenance Specific Activity Facilities., including a playground update to cover revisions.
