Level 3 Operational & Annual Inspection certificates
The Transcend Level 3 Award in the Operational Inspection of Play Area and Specific Activity Facilities is a vocationally related qualification that sits in sector subject area 01.4 Public services. The purpose of this qualification is to develop the learner’s skills required to be effectively deployed as an operational inspector of play area and specific activity facilities. This qualification is relevant to learners aged 18+ who wish to carry out operational inspections of general play areas and specific activity facilities. Learners are likely to be business owners and workforces in active leisure environments, project management workforces for new build housing estates, school workforces and council workforces.
The objective of the qualification is to provide a benefit to learners by giving them the knowledge and skills required to be competent in the operational inspection role. Whilst attending the qualification learners will develop knowledge and skills associated with:
· Operational Inspection legislation
· Operational inspection of general play area and facilities
· Operational inspection of specific play area and facilities
Prior to registration for the qualification learners are required to:
· be accurately identified
· be at least 18 years of age
· be able to communicate effectively in English [reading, speaking, listening, and writing]
have successfully attended training or achieved a regulated qualification in the routine inspection of play area of facilities.
